Disclaimer: There is an Amanda Boyle who trains (Arabian) horses and was sited for horse abuse and is reportedly a scam artist. THIS IS NOT ME.
I hail from the great state of New Jersey, but usually say New York City if someone asks. Lived in Florida for a decade (college and then post-college which was really just college with a paying job instead of classes) and recently moved to the west coast, just because.
I’ve been writing since I could spell on my own. I had dozens of composition books with stories I made up — some of which I can’t even imagine a ten year old could do. Now instead of notebooks I have files upon files on my computer of story ideas and “scenes” that suddenly jump into my head. It’s good to know it’s two decades later and not much has changed.
Though I love reading and writing, horses are by far the love of my life. I’ve been riding for twenty years. It’s my raison d’être. Unfortunately, it is an extremely expensive passion and the big funds were cut off when I went to college. My mom said I needed to go to school so I can get a good job and be able to afford my habit.
I don’t think “struggling writer” was the career she was hoping for.
But it’s not my only job. I do the media and marketing for a high-end retailer in Los Angeles and besides writing, it’s my dream job.
Hopefully I will get around to querying agents…right now I’m just trying to stop myself from editing my MS…AGAIN.

I believe books are magic. I read to the point of excess, hence the reviews. I'm also writing a book, which I'm chronicling here as well. I live in L.A. but I'm a New York girl at heart. I'm a total nerd, horses are the love of my life, and my sarcasm knows no bounds. If you really want more,
